Meconopsis Cambria ‘Frances Perry’

 

HP (30-45cm / 12-18in) A welsh poppy that is a rare form of perpetual flowering red heads. A good reseeder.

HP (90cm / 3ft) Himalayan blue poppy produces heads of silky transparent petals with golden eyes

Meconpsis Nepaulensis

 

HP (1.20-1.50m / 4-5ft) The main poppy stem carries numerous branching spurs bearing cherry red flowers in midsummer.

 

Meconopsis Regia

 

HP (90-120cm / 3-4ft) Great spikes of sulphur yellow silky flowers are produced against a background of silver and golden pelted leaves.

 

Melicytus Obovatus - 10 seeds

 

HS (45-60cm / 18-24in)New Zealand Shrubby Violet’. A dwarf evergreen shrub with small oval leaves. Tiny clusters of perfumed yellow-green flowers slowly turn to white and purple berries.

 

Melianthus Major - 10 seeds

 

H/HHSh (1.20-1.80m / 4-6ft) A giant with deeply cut grey leaves. Bizarre brownish flowers produce inflated seed pods in late summer.

 

Mitraria Coccinea

 

HSh (30-60cm / 1-2ft) A rare relative of the African Violet found in the cold forests of southern chile. It produces red and yellow tubular flowers from early spring until late autumn.

HP (45cm / 18in) Bright spikes of deep violet blue flowers over a very long period on compact fragrant leaved plants.

 

Notholirion Bulbiferum

 

HBb (60cm / 2ft) Large flared spikes of flared china blue outward facing bells arise on strong spikes. This lily relative flowers in early summer.

 

Nepeta Tuberosa

 

HP (45cm / 18in) Large solid fleshy spikes of bluish-mauve flowers framed on thick downy foliage. Hardy tendencies as it overwinters as a tuber.

 

Melanoselinum Decipiens

 

HP (90-120cm / 3-4ft) In its second year this umbellifier sprouts a strong stem that carries a crown of several branches which in turn carry several umbels of bright pink flowers.

Nectaroscordium Siculum

 

HP (60-90cm / 2-3ft) Cascades of white pendulous bell shaped flowers delicately flushed with purple and green on strong stems in early summer. Later in the year the seed heads all point skywards.
